A look that does not disrupt the color palette but is noticeable in a crowd should be considered. Options that give off a sheen such as wool & silk blends can be attractive, modern styles. The same can be said for formal wedding suits, when going with a fabric that offers subtle patterns or details like velvet or satin trims, you can go against the current in a smart yet classy way.
Our favorite fabric for formal events is a worsted black made of Super 170s Wool from Loro Piana’s Wish collection. This exceptionally soft fabric does not carry as strong of a sheen as a fabric made with a silk blend and therefore offers a sharper, darker black that is sophisticated and timeless.
